MESTRE BONECO Well known in Brazil as Beto Simas, he is one of the three founding masters of Grupo Capoeira Brasil. On January 14th 1989, master Boneco along with masters Paulao do Ceara and Paulinho Sabia were given their black cords. Master Boneco has been training Capoeira for more then 35 years. And in this time has created one of the most famous groups around the world with the help of his co-masters.
He is currently living in Los Angles / Rio de Janeiro with the challenge of starting from scratch to spread the joy of Capoeira to the American people. Giving workshops and attending Batizados all over the world he doesn’t neglect his academies in both LA and Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
He is the director of the Capoeira program at UCLA (recreation Department), Capoeira Program in public and private schools; he is the artistic director of the Brazilian Cultural centre “Bencao Brasil”
