The celebration of 20 years of capoeira in Australia and The 17th international capoeira festival starts on the 14th until 21st of April 2012.

Important Dates and fees Deadlines

· Until 30th March festival fee is A$180 ( including festival t-shirt + full access to all workshops, rodas )

· From 30th March until 10th April festival fee A$220 ( including festival t-shirt + full access to all workshops, rodas )

· From 10th April until 21st April festival fee A$250 ( including festival t-shirt + full access to all workshops, rodas )

· 1 Casual workshop A$60 ( including t- shirt event)

· 1 full day workshop A$120 (including t-shirt event )

In memory of Zumbi the King of Quilombo dos Palmares!!!!

November 20 is celebrated, in Brazil as a day of Afro-Brazilian consciousness. The day has special meaning for those Brazilians of African descent who honour Zumbi as a hero, freedom fighter, and symbol of freedom. Zumbi has become a hero of the twentieth-century Afro-Brazilian political movement. And he is a national hero in Brazil as well.

Hope to see you all there and play lots of capoeira!!!!!

2nd Singing Competition – CBBB

Date: Tuesday 20/12/11 -

(Instead kids and adult classes we will meet at the B.B.Q. area at 5:00pm for a end of the year Celebration with B.B.Q., year awards and singing competition with special guest Professora Claudinha as judge!)

Location: Next to the children’s playground Bondi Beach.

Prizes: ??surprise??

Requirements:
Children: sing the whole song in time with the instruments.

Adults: sing the whole song in time and play an instrument.

**Will be available: Brazilian B.B.Q.+ Drinks – $15 p/person ($50 p/family)

Starts 28/02/11 with workshops running by international guests untill 05/03/11.
06/03/11 – from 12:00 – 4:00pm -It is free entry for Batizado (Grading)!!!
Open to the public, all capoeiristas are welcome in your white uniform.
